Key ingredients
As a strain of Akkermansia muciniphila, AH39 is an evolutionary "specialist". Unlike typical probiotics (like Lactobacilli or Bifidobacteria) that simply float through the gut digesting food fibers, AH39 targets, colonizes, and lives inside your gut's protective mucus barrier. It "nibbles" on this mucus, which paradoxically signals your gut to continually secrete fresh, thick, and healthy mucus. This acts as the ultimate shield to keep toxins from leaking into your bloodstream (the root cause of "leaky gut" and systemic inflammation).
How to use
Take 2 capsule daily with water, preferably before or with a meal.
For best results, use consistently for at least 12 weeks to support improvements from within.

SYMPTOM CHECK
Is your metabolism asking for help?
Weight that won't shift. Warning lights on your bloods. Visceral fat building up. Tired and inflamed. If two or more of those four sound familiar, they are worth taking seriously.
They look like separate problems. They often trace back to the same place: your gut microbiome.
HOW IT WORKS
Your body already knows how. AH39 just gives it the signal.
The hormone that steadies appetite and blood sugar is one your gut already makes. AH39 simply presses the switch.
- It settles into your gut's mucus layer Most probiotics just pass through; AH39 lives in the layer that protects your gut wall.
- It releases the P9 protein A signal molecule your gut cells recognise.
- Your gut answers L-cells read the signal and release GLP-1, your own appetite and blood-sugar hormone.
- No injections The same hormone, made by you.
The P9 protein was identified, and shown to trigger GLP-1 release, in Nature Microbiology (Yoon et al., 2021). Mechanism studies were conducted in cells and animal models.

GLOBAL RESEARCH
Over 2,400 studies, all pointing at one bacterium.
Nature, Nature Medicine, Nature Microbiology. Over the past decade Akkermansia muciniphila (AKK) has become one of the most closely studied bacteria in gut science. Here are a few of the key findings.
- How AKK sets immune tone Nature (2022): a Harvard team isolated a phospholipid from AKK's cell membrane that signals through a TLR2–TLR1 pair and, at low doses, resets the threshold for immune responses.
- The P9 protein triggers your own GLP-1 Nature Microbiology (2021): an 84 kDa protein secreted by AKK, P9, is on its own enough to induce GLP-1 release from L-cells (cell and animal models).
- Pasteurised AKK in people Nature Medicine (2019): after three months, overweight volunteers showed a 28.6% improvement in insulin sensitivity and a 34.1% fall in insulinaemia.
- The AH39 strain itself Journal of Genetics and Genomics (2022): AH39's cell-surface protein activated an immune response and shifted the proportion of regulatory T cells (Tregs) in mesenteric lymph nodes and spleen.
CO-DEVELOPED WITH HONG KONG DOCTORS
What clinics actually use, is what clinical grade means.
nubu AH39 Pro was co-developed with practising Hong Kong doctors and is used in their own clinics. More than 20 clinics now carry AH39 Pro.
The formula is built around the AH39 strain, with coenzyme Q10, magnesium and chromium added to support heart and liver performance.
Strain credentials
- P9 surface protein Compared with BAA-835, the model strain used in Nature: 99.73% nucleic-acid and 99.865% protein sequence similarity.
- Asia-exclusive strain Isolated from healthy Asian donors, and patented.
- Deposit number GDMCC 65707, genetically verified by Eurofins.
- Pasteurised Room-temperature stable, no refrigeration, no infection risk.
